The Thıülchram inhabit Northern Arvéih and can be described as something of a cross between an eagle and a dinosaur (raptor). A wide range of color variations can be found among the Thıülchram, including brilliant rainbows; subdued browns, blacks, and whites; and everything in-between. Colors are not specific to sex: both males and females can be any color. Females are larger in size than males; however, males have larger head and tail plumes and slightly longer wingspans in proportion to their bodies.
The Thıülchram are carnivorous and highly skilled hunters, excelling at flying, running, and climbing, but are unable to swim. Their fore claws consist of three fingers and an opposable thumb, and their hind claws have two toes facing forward, one facing backward, and another large, curved toe resembling that of a raptor. Each wing bears two small claws that function in the same manner as those of a bat, assisting in climbing and gripping objects. Thıülchram can spread, raise, and lower the feathered plumes on their heads and tails to express various emotions.
They are born with an innate sense of direction and are aware at all times of which direction is north. They are also capable of almost instantly forming a subconscious mental 'map' of their surroundings and the route taken to get there and can effortlessly retrace that route even days or months later. This instinct is so accurate that the Kaithan language, having originated with the Thıülchram, has no direct translation for the concept of getting lost.
The Thıülchram are great admirers of life and beauty, and as a result, their culture is one blossoming with art, music, and literature of the finest quality. At the same time, however, they have an infamous and not undeserved reputation for being a proud, uncompromising, and imperious race that, while reluctant to shed blood unnecessarily or otherwise disgrace their honor, withholds showing respect or courtesy to outsiders before they feel that such respect has been fully earned.
