The Dıábhsıa (Kaithan: 'Dausha') are a feline species related to the Siinga that inhabits the island Sıydáown. Their history and culture is closely intertwined with that of the Sıydaownyë. Having adapted to a warmer climate, the Dıábhsıa have a thinner coat than their mainland cousins and only a short line of raised fur at the back of their necks in contrast to the shaggy lionlike mane of the Siinga. They range in size from approximately 2 to 2.5 meters in length and have a build similar to a tiger. Their coats usually feature a white- or cream-colored underbelly and face; cream, gray, brown, and/or (rarely) black on the main part of the body; and a pattern of yellow, orange, or light brown stripes on the legs, mane, and down the spine.
Despite their relation to the solitary Siinga, Dıábhsıa in general are highly social. They do not have their own language: most speak only Sıydáown.
